So here we are, Alex is now one week old! We managed to meet this milestone with another yesterday...Alex breastfed exclusively for one feeding (which hasn't done yet) AND it was on the right side (which he hates to feed from)!! I know that doesn't sound like much, but for a kid who wouldn't breastfeed in the first place, this is a big deal. We have also managed to decrease his consumption of formula in half, since he is really starting to catch on to the breastfeeding.
We are still getting peed on occassionally, but Alex is starting to sleep for longer periods at night and requiring less stimulation during the day. Last night he went to bed at 9pm, and I had to wake him for his feeding at 1am, then he slept again until 3am. We had to keep checking him because it was so odd for him to sleep that long...We thoiught something was wrong! We also made the mistake of not going to bed, thinking he was going to wake any minute...We missed oiut on 4 hours of sleep, just worrying!
Like everything, it is live and learn...Now if he goes to sleep at 9, so will we!
